| Description | Registrations are now open for the International Firefighting Safety Conference. Delegates from across Australia and the Pacific Rim have started registering for this marquee 3 day event being held in the beautiful beach side suburb of Glenelg, South Australia. The Conference program is focused on "bridging the Gap" and offers something for all practitioners in emergency response from private industry response crews at Major Hazards Facilities to those in public service and rescue organisations. We have delegates coming from across the fire industry, health and safety organisations, academics and teachers as well as union officials and public officials from regulatory authorities. A key note presentation from Dr Denis Onieal on "The fire service of the future - its about your environment" will open the conference on day one. Dr Onieal is the Superintendent of the US Fire Academy in Emmitsburg and a world renowned leader in executive fire officer education and development programs. The conference is being held on Monday 22, Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 March 2010 at the Stamford Grand Hotel in Glenelg, South Australia. |
