Whilst all AFAC member agencies are responsible for their own service delivery processes and procedures, there are some that need to be consistent across all. This consistency allows emergency workers to confidently fulfil their roles seamlessly and effectively when demand outstrips individual agency capacity.

The following have either been endorsed by AFAC or in the process of evaluation and review: 

• AIIMS - Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System; standard framework and system for managing an emergency incident
• Risk Assessment Framework - (Exposure Draft) how to identify vulnerability and treat accordingly
• Public Safety Training Package -  transferable skills within a consistent competency framework
