Welcome!
The Knowledge Web is and will remain a dynamic site in development. Thankfully, that is by design.
AFAC's Knowledge Web is a platform that provides new and existing members the opportunity to share their expertise, research and operations. As membership to the Knowledge Web grows, so too increases the wealth of knowledge that enriches, educates and connects the AFAC community into a cohesive whole.
For the Knowledge Web to realise its potential as the 'go to' destination for all industry information, it relies on AFAC members and your willingness to participate and share.
NEW for 2011:
- The Knowledge Web has received a major content and navigational upgrade. A significantly enhanced search engine has also been integrated within our sites to help you find what you are looking for.
- An engaging online conversation and community area to better serve your exchange of knowledge is in development.
Readability and content redevelopment
The Knowledge Web houses an enormous volume of information that grows daily – information that requires interpretation and organisation into knowledge. Your knowledge.
To date, our tendency has been to approach this vast amount of information from an internal vantage point. This view will change. Starting on 1 July, 2010, AFAC has embarked on a content redevelopment and site readability project that will shift focus to a customer/member perspective.
AFAC knows that for the Knowledge Web to be relevent and useful in our industry, it's content must be developed by the appropriate subject matter experts. The AFAC Group Members act as those experst on behalf of the industry.
By improving our content and site navigation, registered Knowledge Web members will find easier access to clearer information of greater relevence. This is how we will facilitate our information into your knowledge, retain and encourage existing contributers and attract new members. Register to become a member today.
We encourage your feedback
If you come to the site and cannot find what you are looking for, ask yourself two questions:
- Do I know where else I can locate this information?
- If I know where else it is, can I post a copy onto the Knowledge Web?
Feedback received from users drives further refinements. The project team encourages you to provide feedback on your Knowledge Web experiences, good or bad, to aid in its development.
Please contact us if you cannot find what you are looking for, or want to contribute to the Knowledge Web but are unsure how to go about it.
