Members can contribute to the Knowledge Web in three ways:
- Request that their new research and information be added to an appropriate section
- Posting comments on the site
- Participating in forums
Requesting new research to be uploaded:
As a member of the Knowledge Web, you are part of a greater community of knowledge and information that benefits all readers. We encourage and welcome the inclusion of your research, media or any related information you feel would be pertinent to fellow members.
A major result of our recently-completed Knowledge Web Readability Project was bring all content up into a standardised format re: titles, descriptions and metadata that best suits our new search engine and to better assist all Knowledge Web members to find what they are looking for.
We have simplified this process in the past few months. The only step you need to take now is to make contact with the Knowledge Web Content Coordinator, Kent MacCarter, to discuss what your material is and where it might best be placed.
Posting a comment:
Members can comment on reports that are on the site.
Simply:
- Navigate to the bottom of the page
- Fill in the Heading field
- Write your comment in the Comment field
- Select Commit
You cannot add two comments in a row. However, if you wish to add a second comment you must navigate away from the page, then navigate back. You will then be able post another comment.
Forums
Forums have been set up for AFAC Group and Knowledge Web members to participate in. The forum topics and the dates they run will be advertised on the site and through the AFAC newsletter.
