AFAC 'Laurie Lavelle" Award 2010
AFAC "Laurie Lavelle" Award 2010 - Nominations for the highest AFAC award are now open.
Nominations are now being received for the annual AFAC Laurie Lavelle Award. This Award is to recognise an individual who, in their role within an AFAC member agency, has made a significant contribution to enhancing the knowledge or skills, operaions, performance or public profile of the fire and emergency services in Australasia.
The recipient of the Laurie Lavelle Award will receive a $1,500 sponsorship to attend the AFAC/Bushfire CRC Conference, as well as a $1,000 cash prize.
The Laurie Lavelle Award will be presented at the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 Conference to be held on Wednesday 8th September 2010, at the Darwin Convention Centre.
