Signals of Change: A Royal Commission
Sometimes change is subtle and sneaks up, other times it is like a sledge hammer. This week saw the release of the 2009 Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission Report which includes findings and recommendations that regretfully confirm once again that it takes a catastrophic disaster to convince people of the need to avoid one. AFAC wishes to foster debate and conversations regarding the changes that this Royal Commission represents, as well as other signals that are occurring that have the potential to reshape the future of fire and emergency services in Australia and New Zealand.
AFAC has set up a discussion forum on the Knowledge Web so that you can share your thinking on what you are seeing, hearing and debating within your communities and your organisation in relation to the Royal Commission and other signals that have potential to drive change. Go to the Forum and tell us what what you think....
