State of Climate 2010

Australia's two lead climate science agencies - the CSIRO and Bureau of Meteorology have produced and released a snapshot of the state of the climate in Australia and what it means.

The CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology have prepared some facts about climate change and the impacts for Australia. In their report 'State of Climate 2010', they synthesise over 100 years of weather observation and reporting and over 60 years of atmospheric and marine research into a snapshot of how the climate has changed and the facts around what those changes are.

This work is important information for those whose role is to develop policy that addresses climate change impacts and more importantly the consequential risks to public safety.

The full report is available on the CSIRO and Bureau of Meteorology websites.
