Nominations are now being received for the annual Laurie Lavelle Award. Get your nomination form here. The objective of the award is to recognise the efforts of an individual who has undertaken a role within an AFAC member agency that has contributed significantly to enhancing the knowledge or skills, operations, performance or public profile in the emergency services sector in Australasia.
As agreed by Council, nominations are restricted to one per agency with the primary prize being a $1,500 sponsorship to attend the AFAC/Bushfire CRC Conference where the nominee will receive the award. Additionally, the recipient will receive $1,000 cash in recognition of their effort over and above their normal role. The award is open to all agency personnel. The “Laurie Lavelle” Award will be presented at the Opening Ceremony of the 2011 Conference to be held on Monday 29th August 2011 at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Download a copy of the program protocol and nomination form. It would be greatly appreciated if you could forward your agencies nomination no later than Friday 29th July 2011.
