Overview
Purpose
This guide has been developed to provide advice about matters that may be taken into account when agencies are considering entering into agreements for the sharing of resources intra and inter-jurisdiction.
Application
The application of this guide is at the discretion of agencies and is not to be construed so as to inhibit or diminish the effectiveness of any existing legislation or interagency agreements.
Agencies are encouraged to review this guide to ensure that the issues raised are effectively covered in any agreements and pre-planning.
Agencies are also encouraged to use this guide as an aid to proactively prepare for and plan resource sharing arrangements prior to the onset of an emergency situation.
In entering into resource sharing arrangements agencies should be cognisant of relevant Commonwealth and State Legislation as well as respective insurance arrangements.
