Overview
In the face of a likely escalation in disaster risk, protecting Australia from the impacts of a range of threats is a shared responsibility that cannot be born by any single agency, organisation, or sector in isolation. The threats we face are evolving, and can disrupt the way we function and damage our social and economic fabric. They threaten the values and freedoms that arepart of our way of life.
As governments, we must ensure that our response to current and emerging threats is evolving, flexible and relevant. This will require collaboration between governments to deliver sustainable national solutions over the long term.
