Overview
Eucalypt decline has been observed since the late 1970s across extensive areas of the temperate eucalypt forest of Southern Australia. While differences exist between forests and locations, there is a high degree of commonality in the characteristsics and process of tree decline, with progressive canopy loss and tree death the final result of the process. This research looks at the link between fire regime and tree decline in eucalypt forests.
