Overview
This research project builds on the initial Bushfire Cooperative Research Centre (BCRC) case study in Thuringowa, North Queensland (Bushnell, Cottrell, Spillman & Lowe, 2006), which aimed to develop a better understanding of communities in bushfire prone areas of Australia. This project is extended to include how the more remote of these communities relate to and understand the weather information provided by the Bureau of Meteorology.
