Overview
A mail survey of women volunteers in the South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) was undertaken in late 2005. The survey was a collaborative endeavour involving the Bushfire CRC Volunteerism Project team at La Trobe University and the SAFECOM Volunteer Management Branch (VMB). The aim was to find out about the experiences of women volunteers so as to provide direction for strategies that will assist CFS in recruiting and retaining women volunteers.
