Overview
Mayor Bob has been actively involved in disaster management for over 30 years as a volunteer, the chair of a local disaster management group and now Mayor of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council which in May 2009 experienced a major oil spill from the Pacific Adventurer. In this address Mayor Bob will draw on all of his diverse experience to detail the core role of local government in a disaster situation.
