Overview
Presented at the 2004 Earth Wind and Fire Conference, Adelaide South Australia
A wide range of issues arise when attempting to define how a bushfire impacts on an urban interface. Conventional definitions of fire properties and size are not all clearly defined engineering units, nor lend themselves to developing a protocol for risk prediction. This paper details the recent efforts made toward solving this problem, and also discuss a range of new initiatives to help the community meet the challenges of living in bushfire-prone areas.
