Overview

Research Report: Presented at the 2004 Risk Conference, Melbourne.

This paper describes the process of defining a model to predict the risk of destruction of any specific house in bushfire prone areas of Australia. As such one of the first considerations is to view the fire eventfrom the houses perspective, this is an important step considering that most measures of fire event  severity are taken from the point of view of the fire.
